After having visited the orphanage of CCD Burundi yesterday evening, we came back this morning to show the children how they can turn water into drinking water with PET bottles and sunlight.
After a practical demonstration and with explanations about the disinfecting effect of sunlight, it was the orphans' turn to try it out for themselves. Of course the water could not be drunk immediately, because it takes six hours until the water is drinkable. But it is important that they understood the individual steps. After the demonstration, the headmaster of the Secondary School asked the children to give lessons on the topic during their next visit.
