Path through a banana plantation

Last night it thundered and rained for hours.

The access road to the drilling site was therefore very soggy. The truck with the drilling rig would have sunk in there. We could not locate the alternative drilling sites because the farmers had removed the markings.

There was the possibility to wait a few days and hope that it would not rain for 3 days and the soil would dry. This was not a good idea for anyone involved. The villagers therefore used machetes to cut an 87m-long swath from the road to the drilling site. Banana bushes, cassava and groundnut plants were cleared and a large branch of a tree was removed. +
