Exploration of the Hydrological Cycle

To explore the hydrological cycle measurements of air temperature, relative humidity, duration of sunshine, wind speed and other parameters with weather stations at many different locations are made. Through this a grid of weather stations is being created. If it is of sufficient density it can be used to calculate climate data by using different processes for locations where no weather station is.
It is also important to know how much precipitation seeps into soil and later becomes to ground water and to know how large the part is which flow into rivers. For this also a sufficient grid of measuring stations is necessary.
Using all this data first calculations on precipitation, run-off, evaporation and ground water recharge  for different locations and areas after about ten years can be done. These are the basis for a sustainable management of the food water.
