Two children in a classroom in front of a blackboard

The village of Adyangowe is located in former LRA rebel territory. The civil war destroyed the basic infrastructure, traditional agriculture.

The kindergarten and elementary school were built in 2015, as well as a church. 259 children attend the kindergarten and school. Of these, at least 50 children are unable to attend the elementary school and kindergarten each week due to water-related diseases such as diarrhea, bilharzia, and malaria. The number of school dropouts is particularly high among girls, as they have to fetch water from far away.
