Adyangowe Nursery and Primary School in Uganda
What is the problem
The village of Adyangowe is located in the former rebel area of the LRA in Uganda. The civil war destroyed the basic infrastructure, traditional agriculture.
The kindergarten and primary school were built in 2015, together with a church. 259 children go to the kindergarten and school. Of these, at least 50 children cannot go to primary school and kindergarten every week because of water-related diseases such as diarrhoea, bilharzia and malaria. The number of school dropouts is particularly high among the girls, as they have to fetch the water from far away.
With Your Help
… we are building a deep well for the kindergarten and primary school together with our local partner. The village population will also benefit from the deep well with a hand pump.
The project costs 9,500 euros
