The situation in the hospital in Adja has worsened again since our last visit. A hospital ward can no longer be used since the ceiling collapsed.
Around noon we drove to Adja, which is 4.5 hours away by car. Here two points had to be re-measured for the planned water supply.
By the afternoon, the well had reached a depth of 84 m. There was hardly any water, only about 500 litres per hour. That is not even enough for the hospital.
Drilling will start on time. After three hours 21m is reached and it turns out that a 7 inch pipe is missing.
By late afternoon, all the material needed for the drilling and the drilling team had finally arrived. The work is scheduled to start early the next morning.
Towards evening the first truck of the drilling company reached Abedju. It was loaded with some filter pipes and the drilling equipment. The other two with the compressor and other pipes are expected tomorrow morning.
