A geologist drives a metal probe into the ground with a hammer

Today we were in Mulungwe in the Mkushi District in Zambia. The Bethel Christian Centre (BCC) free church in Lusaka asked us if we could find out where it is worth drilling for groundwater on their site in Mulungwe.

BCC has a small clinic on the site. This is to be extended. So far there is no water there, apart from murky water from a nearby hand pump.

After half a day on the site, we identified three points on the site where it would be worth drilling. They were marked and the coordinates recorded for later drilling.
