SSL or TLS encryption
For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content that you send to us as the site operator, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" address line of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser line.
You have the possibility to make donations directly through our website. If you donate online, your donation will be processed via a secure and encrypted data transmission. To ensure that your donation can also be processed, we need your name and address as well as some mandatory details for bank or credit card collection. You also have the option of using online payment service providers such as PayPal. Please note that within the scope of this use your contact data will be transmitted to this online payment service provider. If you have entered your data in the donation form and send it, it will be transmitted to us via a secure SSL connection.
We work together with the service provider Altruja GmbH to process your donation. This service provider is contractually obliged to observe data protection and may only use personal data for the permitted purpose of the proper processing of your donation.
Server log files
In server log files, the provider of the website automatically collects and stores information that your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:
- Visited page on our domain
- Date and time of the server request
- Browser type and version
- Used operating system
- Referrer URL
- Host name of the accessing computer
- IP address
The IP address is partially anonymized by the hosting provider, i.e. the last three digits of the IP address are made unrecognizable (e.g. abc.abc.abc.xxx). This means that the IP address loses its personal reference. Identification is no longer possible. It is no longer a personal date. We reserve the right to check this data subsequently if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use. This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis for data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 letter b DSGVO, which permits the processing of data for the fulfilment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. The server log files are deleted by the hosting provider after 60 days.
Data transmitted via the contact form will be stored including your contact data in order to be able to process your enquiry or to be available for follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.
The data entered in the contact form will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A revocation of your already given consent is possible at any time. An informal notification by e-mail is sufficient for the revocation. The legality of the data processing operations carried out up to revocation remains unaffected by revocation.
Data transmitted via the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to its storage or until there is no longer any need to store the data. Mandatory legal provisions - in particular retention periods - remain unaffected.
Contact by phone or e-mail
If you call us or send us an e-mail, the personal data such as name, phone number, e-mail address, address and inquiry will be stored by us until the end of the processing. Afterwards they will be deleted. Legal regulations, e.g. legally required retention periods, remain unaffected.
For our newsletter dispatch we use the program Acymailing. If you want to receive the newsletter, we need your e-mail address. A verification of the given e-mail address is necessary and you have to agree to receive the newsletter. As additional information we ask for your name, the information is voluntary and you can also take a fantasy name. The name is only used to address you in the newsletter. The data will be used exclusively for sending the newsletter. The data entered will be stored in our content management system.
The data provided in the newsletter registration will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). A revocation of your already given consent is possible at any time. For the revocation, a formless message by e-mail or you unsubscribe via the "unsubscribe"-link in the newsletter is sufficient. The legality of the data processing procedures already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.
Data entered to set up the subscription will be deleted when you unsubscribe. If these data have been transmitted to us for other purposes and elsewhere, they will remain with us.
With the help of newsletter software Acymailing we can analyse our newsletter campaigns. When you open the email sent with Acymailing, a file contained in the email, a so-called web beacon, connects to the server of Acymailing. We can thus determine whether a newsletter message has been opened and which links have been clicked on. In addition, information such as the time of retrieval, IP address, browser type and operating system is recorded. This information cannot be assigned to the respective newsletter recipient, since the IP address is partially anonymized. The data is used exclusively for statistical analysis of newsletter campaigns. This enables us to better adapt our future newsletters to the interests of the recipients. If you do not want to receive analysis by Acymailing, you must unsubscribe from the newsletter. For this purpose, we provide a corresponding link in every newsletter message. The data processing is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO).

Facebook Ireland Ltd. processes (personal) data when you use Facebook products - including when you visit our Instagram page - even from people who are not logged into any of the Facebook services. What (personal) data this is in detail, how, for what purposes and on what legal basis it is processed is described by Facebook in its data policy (https://help.instagram.com/519522125107875?helpref=page_content), which applies to all Facebook products. There you can also find information about how to contact Facebook and about the settings for advertisements, cookies, etc. The data may be transferred to countries outside the European Union.
When you visit our Instagram page, Facebook collects information including your IP address. Together with other information that Facebook obtains through cookies, Facebook provides us, as the operator of the Instagram Page, with statistical information about the use of this Instagram Page (so-called Page Insights). These are aggregated data that show how users interact with the Page. These Page Insights may be based on personal information collected by Facebook in connection with a user's visit to or interaction with the President's Instagram Page and its content. Facebook provides more information about this here: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy.
We may use Site Insights to perform anonymous analysis of reach, page views, time spent on video, actions (likes, comments, sharing), age, gender and location (as provided by users in their respective Instagram profiles). Settings can be made for the evaluation of the reach or appropriate filters can be set with regard to the selection of a time period, the viewing of a specific contribution and demographic groupings (e.g. female, 20-30 years old). This data is anonymized, aggregated and abstracted. These settings therefore do not allow us to draw conclusions about individuals. The evaluation serves to optimize the offer on our Instagram page for public relations purposes.
The legal basis for this data processing is article 6 paragraph 1 letter e) DSGVO in conjunction with article 3 BDSG.
Furthermore, as the provider of the information service, we do not collect or process any data from the use of the Instagram site.

However, contributions and comments of inappropriate scope or repetition under different posts, as well as advertising and campaigns of all kinds, especially multiple comments of the same content from one or different senders are not welcome. In the interest of all users, we reserve the right to remove such contributions as well as contributions that are liable to prosecution, in particular statements that glorify violence, incite hatred of the people, discriminate, racist, xenophobic, sexist, inhuman, anti-constitutional or insulting. As communication languages on the Instagram channel we would like to have German or English.
