This afternoon we inaugurated the water kiosk in Nyankumbu.

At the seminar "Water treatment with sodium hypochloride" there were some participants from Nyankumbu. They learned how to make sodium hypochlorite from common salt.

In the now built water kiosk, they produce sodium hypochloride daily and mix this with the city water coming from Lake Victoria. This kills bacteria and viruses and prevents diseases such as diarrhoea, typhus, cholera, etc. Up to 15,000 litres can be treated daily in 12 hours. Wasserkiosk mit 2 Eimern unter den Wasserhähnen.
