Welcome to the blog of our NGO, which is passionately committed to sustainable water projects in Africa. Millions of people in Africa have no access to clean drinking water, which has a serious impact on health, education and quality of life.
Our mission is to improve access to clean water in affected communities through adapted technologies and sustainable solutions. In our articles, you can find out more about the progress of our projects, the challenges we face and how you can help us create a better future for the people of Africa.
Representatives from science and non-governmental organisations such as the German Society for World Population and the German Welhungerhilfe. The Institute Water for Africa e. V. was represented by its founder and chairman Jürgen Baisch.
The topic was 'Water scarcity in Africa'. The Federal Chancellor's Commissioner for Africa, Günter Nooke, 13 ambassadors of African states, parliamentarians and representatives from science and development cooperation were invited.
The Round Table is intended to create a network and promote exchange on the topic. Further cooperation has already been agreed.
In the course of the meeting, the need to collect reliable meteorological and hydrological data was discussed. Climate change is also not yet sufficiently documented. It is affecting those states that already suffer from water shortages the most.
