Welcome to the blog of our NGO, which is passionately committed to sustainable water projects in Africa. Millions of people in Africa have no access to clean drinking water, which has a serious impact on health, education and quality of life.
Our mission is to improve access to clean water in affected communities through adapted technologies and sustainable solutions. In our articles, you can find out more about the progress of our projects, the challenges we face and how you can help us create a better future for the people of Africa.
Today the drilling works for a well at Sikang Primary School started.
This morning we already drilled 35m deep. Here you can find the details of the project. Videos From our Partner - A well for the primary school in Sikang, Kenya. 45m are done. Done 60 meters. Next step lowering casings then flushing of the borehole.
Today our partner GWAKO (GroundWater Abstraction in Kenya) has started the preparations for the construction of the well.

In Adyaka, just outside Lira, Chosen Generation Ministry runs a small sewing school for disadvantaged young women.
At the end they receive a sewing machine as starting capital for their independence. A water supply is to be built here. For this purpose a geophysical survey is to be carried out. This drilling company is also a new contact and has a good reputation in professional circles.
Once again we looked at two schools. Two politicians showed up uninvited, a congressman and a chief. This experience makes us think:
This experience makes us think: how easily a water project is politically instrumentalized. But we are politically independent. Therefore we prefer to be asked by churches, NGOs or missions. In this way our work also serves the Kingdom of God. At least we could find out on this trip that this drilling company is trustworthy and reliable and works professionally and competently.
Today further school visits were on the agenda. Siaya Central Primary School (1600 students) already has a hand pump.
We were curious to see how our potential partner worked. During a visit to the school in Kodhiambo we could convince ourselves.
We got in contact with a drilling company in Kenya, which we want to get to know during a short visit. We hope that this will develop into a cooperation for further projects. First talks are promising.
The situation in the hospital in Adja has worsened again since our last visit. A hospital ward can no longer be used since the ceiling collapsed.
The patient rooms are in a desolate state. The construction of a water supply for this hospital in Adja is planned as soon as the project at the missionary carnival in Abedju is completed. The situation is worst in Adja. However, it will be a logistical challenge to transport the drilling rig and then all the equipment there. The preparatory surveying work has already been carried out.
Around noon we drove to Adja, which is 4.5 hours away by car. Here two points had to be re-measured for the planned water supply.
Here two points had to be re-measured for the planned water supply. The daylight was just enough for that.
By the afternoon, the well had reached a depth of 84 m. There was hardly any water, only about 500 litres per hour. That is not even enough for the hospital.
The work will be continued with a new drilling company as soon as this is found. The challenge is to find a competent company that is willing to work in Congo. The security situation there discourages most of the companies from Uganda. They fear that they will not be allowed to export their drilling equipment again.
